New London Library

Bao loved Tara, the librarian at New London Library who organized our
visit.
The library is housed in a wonderful, old building. But all the
buildings in this part of the country seem old -- even the new ones!
Yesterday we did a signing at Borders in Danbury. The weather had
turned gray and as we pulled into the parking lot it began to rain.
Matt, the Events Organizer, was apologetic. We might not get much
traffic on a wet Wednesday, he told me.
But just about everyone stopped to chat, and lots of people bought
books. Matt was surprised. I was surprised. Bao was exhausted, and
demanded steak for dinner. Which he got, of course.
